Nicole, mom of two
Adrienne was assisting our doula, but ended up being the one to be with us for the birth of our daughter. Our baby turned footling breech at 39 weeks and Adrienne came to our house to help us do rebozo and spinning babies techniques to try to get her to return to head down. Nothing worked. On our scheduled C Section date our primary doula planned to be with us, but she was too sick to come. Adrienne changed her plans, arranged last minute childcare for herself, and was at the hospital to help us get ready for the birth. It was supposed to be a VBAC for me and I was devastated to be having a second surgical birth. Adrienne was awesome, supportive, and my husband and I were both so glad she was there. She stayed at the hospital the entire day so I didn't have to be alone when my husband left to check on our toddler and was able to pay attention to what was going on to make sure our post-birth wishes were met while I rested. Adrienne is full of knowledge on birth and breastfeeding - she is a great resource to have and an amazing addition to the birth team.
